Overview:
The Head of Finance will play a critical role in shaping the financial strategy and direction of the company. This senior leadership position requires a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in business finance, team management, investor relations, and fundraising. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in finance, have successfully managed investor reporting, and have played a key role in a Series A/B fundraise. This role demands a strategic thinker who can drive financial growth and ensure the company's financial health and sustainability.

Responsibilities

1. Financial Strategy and Planning:
• Develop and implement financial strategies that support the company's business
objectives.
• Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
• Ensure alignment between financial planning and strategic business goals.

2. Financial Operations and Management:
• Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, and reporting.
• Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
• Manage cash flow, treasury, and working capital to ensure financial stability.

3. Team Leadership and Development:
• Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
• Recruit, train, and develop finance staff to enhance their skills and performance.
• Ensure the team is equipped to meet the company's financial needs and goals.

4. Investor Relations and Reporting:
• Manage relationships with investors, providing accurate and timely financial information.
• Prepare and present regular financial reports to investors and the board of directors.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and investor requirements.

5. Fundraising and Capital Management:
• Lead the financial aspects of fundraising efforts, particularly for Series B and subsequent rounds.
• Collaborate with the executive team to develop and execute fundraising strategies.
• Manage capital allocation and investment decisions to maximize returns and support growth.

6. Risk Management and Compliance:
• Identify and mitigate financial risks to the business.
• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
• Implement and maintain robust financial controls and governance practices.

7. Business Finance and Strategic Support:
• Provide strategic financial insights to support business decision-making.
• Partner with other departments to drive financial performance and operational efficiency

Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven experience managing a finance team and driving team performance.
• Demonstrated experience in investor relations and reporting.
• Successful track record of managing a Series A/B fundraise and beyond.
• Hands-on knowledge of the Financial Laws and Governing Bodies (India & US)

- Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. (An MBA or CA
is highly desirable.)
- Technical Skills:

• Strong understanding of business finance, financial planning, and analysis.
• Proficiency in financial software and tools, including ERP and advanced Excel.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and financial standards.

- Leadership and Communication:
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex
financial information clearly and concisely.
