Head of Engineering - Platform

Overview:
A Head Of Engineering is responsible for planning and channelling the tech team and also acts as the main POC for tech. The EM will directly be working with the CTO to ensure that the tech team is aligned and meeting the requirements each cycle. He/She will be constantly in contact with the product team for various levels of development and delivery. Management of budgets for projects is also going to be the responsibility of the EM. We are looking for a dedicated and passionate manager to lead our team of young and passionate developers. We have built a great team capable of many more things with the right managers to guide them. We will need the EM to preempt the need to scale and upskill our teams.

• Supervising the work of multiple teams and providing clear and concise instructions to engineering teams.
• Planning and executing strategies for completing projects on time.
• Researching and developing designs and products.
• Determining the need for training and talent development.
• Taking up Code reviews for the team.
• Ensuring the quality of system design and code
• Providing clear and concise instructions to engineering teams.
• Proposing and managing budgets for projects and driving client conversations.

• Command: Make sure you can control the flow of engineering and keep it streamlined.
• Tech Stack- WebGL, Node, C#, Jira, C++, JS, React.
• Organize: Keep the workflow managed and the team aligned. This also includes the ability and constant effort to prioritize tasks. Also, make sure all processes are followed for every technical delivery (CI/CD, testing, instrumentation, bug tracking, etc.)
• Report: Keeping your manager updated on the progress
• Communicate: Constant communication to keep everyone aligned and get all issues solved ASAP
• Execute: Make sure all sprints are closing on time and any issues outside the sprints are dealt with timely
• Great analytical and math skills have worked on creating solution architectures for various use cases
• Incredible problem-solving abilities, stakeholder management and decision-making.
• Ability to create a set of qualifications for a new product
• Interpersonal skills to manage a team of engineers
• Ability to give constructive criticism
• Prior experience in managing software development.
• Extensive product knowledge
